Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This Acceptable Use Policy (the “Policy”) explains what is and is not permitted on drgharrison.com (the “Site”), operated by Dr. Harrison’s Center of Functional Medicine. It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Site, you agree to this Policy.

1. Permitted use

You are welcome to read, print, and share our articles and resources for your own personal, non-commercial use, and to share links to our pages freely. Publishers, educators, researchers, search engines, and AI assistants may quote and cite our material under the terms set out on our Content Licensing & Copyright page.

2. Remember what this Site is

The Site is educational. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and using it does not create a doctor-patient relationship. Please do not rely on the Site in place of care from a licensed professional who has evaluated you, and never use it in an emergency — call 911 instead.

3. Protect health information — yours and other people’s

Website forms, email, and text messages are not secure channels. Please do not submit through the Site:

  • Detailed symptom histories, diagnoses, medication lists, or laboratory or imaging results.
  • Insurance identifiers, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or government ID numbers.
  • Health information about another person, including a family member, unless you are their parent or legal guardian or otherwise authorized to share it.

Keep what you send to basic contact details and a general description of what you are looking for. Once you are in contact with the practice, we will point you to an appropriate channel for clinical information.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to use the Site to:

  • Break any applicable law or regulation, or encourage anyone else to.
  • Impersonate Dr. Glenn Harrison, the practice, our staff, or any other person or organization, or misrepresent your affiliation with us.
  • Post or transmit content that is defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
  • Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent information, including fabricated reviews, testimonials, or appointment requests.
  • Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or any other harmful code.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, our hosting environment, our accounts, or any connected system; probe or scan for vulnerabilities; or bypass any security or access control.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site or the servers and networks that support it, including through denial-of-service activity or excessive automated requests.
  • Use the Site’s forms, contact details, or any other feature to send spam, solicitations, chain messages, or bulk marketing.
  • Harvest email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal data from the Site for marketing, resale, or list-building.
  • Frame, mirror, or present the Site or its content in a way that implies an endorsement, affiliation, or professional relationship that does not exist.
  • Use our content or Dr. Harrison’s name, credentials, likeness, or identity to promote a product, service, treatment, or claim without our written permission.
  • Alter, strip, or obscure attribution, copyright notices, medical disclaimers, or dates when reproducing our material.

5. Automated access and crawling

Well-behaved automated access is welcome. Search engine crawlers and AI assistants may crawl, index, quote, and cite the Site in accordance with our robots.txt file and our Content Licensing & Copyright page.

Automated access must identify itself accurately with a genuine user agent, respect robots.txt and any rate limits or crawl-delay directives, and avoid placing an unreasonable load on the Site. Automated access that disguises its identity, ignores robots.txt, circumvents access controls, or degrades performance for other visitors is not permitted, and we may block it.

6. Content you submit

If you submit a comment, review, question, or other material through the Site, you confirm that it is your own, that it is accurate to the best of your knowledge, and that sharing it does not violate anyone else’s rights or privacy. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and moderate that submission in connection with operating the Site.

We may edit, decline to publish, or remove any submission at our discretion — including submissions that contain identifiable health information, personal details about a third party, spam, or unlawful content.

7. Reporting a problem

If you see content or activity on the Site that appears to violate this Policy, or you believe your information has been posted without your consent, contact us at info@drgharrison.com with enough detail for us to locate the issue. Copyright concerns are handled through the process described on our Content Licensing & Copyright page.

8. Enforcement

We may investigate suspected violations and take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, blocking access or IP ranges, declining to provide services, and reporting conduct to law enforcement. We may do so without prior notice where a violation is causing harm or risk.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the Site after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Policy.
